Challenge des Montagnes F4the first ultra trail of central Africa

The Challenge des Montagnes F4 is a 4-day self-sufficient ultra trail race with 4 stages of 40 kilometers (total of 160 km) each through the beautiful landscape of the west Cameroon. The race is along a dirt track that links various villages in Cameroon. The races ebbs and flows through mountains and will provide a challenging yet geographically-beautiful race experience.
The cultural experience of this race is also a strong reason to consider testing your endurance. Consider how interesting it would be to experience a new culture filled with traditional dances, dialogue with the locals and amazing ethnic foods as you run by several villages en route to your final destination.
About the race:
Each stage will will be open for 8 hours. After this deadline, the competitor will be disqualified from obtaining an official time but will be able to continue without an official race time. Each evening, athletes will be in a new village and will experience the culinary delights of each “stage” village.
At refeuling stations, water, local drinks, fruits, and sports nutrition bars will be provided.
At the start of the race, each competitor must have the following:
- A minimum of 2 liters of water or energy drink whatever the container (back bag, belt…)
- Energy bars or gel
- A survival blanket
- A head light and some batteries
- A whistle
20 spots are still available.
Registrations are made by mail with the official record of commitment or online. None registrations are taken by telephone or on spot.
Package prices from Paris include
visa, airport taxes, flight, food, transport on spot, accommodation, visits planned in the program. Other personal spending is at the expense of the competitor.
Race registration must be completed by September 15, 2012.

Registration will be considered incomplete if it doesn’t contain all the following documents :
- The official record of commitment well completed
- Payment of commitment rights
- Initial medical certificate
