Team USA’s Lisa Buohler has been given a second chance. By Alix Shutello Lisa Buohler, the number 1 ranked female duathlete in the US, went out on her bike one day and didn’t come back. After being hit by an SUV traveling 60 MPH, Buohler woke up in the hospital with multiple spinal fractures, a lacerated liver, a fractured sternum, fractures in her foot, hand and knee, and a lung contusion. The race, which started Monday at 8am with three start waves, continues on as Tuesday comes to a close. So far, we have our winner, Mike Morton of Florida.
